Arsenal FC officially recognised Arsenal Finland Supporters Club (AFSC, the branch of AFC supporters formerly known as "Finnsbury Gooners") as one of
its official supporters club in Autumn 2004. This website is made to help other Finnish gooners to find out where to gather to watch the English Premier
League and Arsenal, how to get tickets to the Emirates etc.
One of the most visible proofs of Finnsbury Gooners' existence is the red & white armies all around Finnish pubs and restaurants showing Arsenal
and the Premier League on television. The biggest group is in the capital Helsinki, where dozens of Finnish gooners come together to
Sports Academy when Arsenal match is broadcasted on the telly. In autumn 2001 this
turned into a permanent tradition, and soon the name of the group became "North Bank Helsinki". The number of gooners gathering is growing all the time.
So if you are in Finland and want to know where to see the Pride of North London live, see the site's pubs -section.
There is also a football tournament between the supporters of English football teams called Viikinsaari Cup. It's played every summer in Tampere and,
of course, Arsenal is always represented and successful.
As overseas gooners don't have the opportunity to frequently visit Highbury, all the stuff related to Arsenal is welcome also here in Finland. Some
gooners have collected lists to this site from where to find out how many Arsenal-related books and music records there really are. "Good old Arsenal"
is a life-saver in many stereos when spending a usual dark, cold winter night in Finland.
That's AFSC in a nutshell. If you want more information, please don't hesitate to contact us.
